So, during that time, my first wife, Beryl, and myself were interested in all sorts of strange things, like ‘creatures from outer-space’. I never considered this sort of thing while I was serving in the Second World War rather it came about as an interest in flying saucers! … Subsequently there were books published which claimed there was an obverse side to this … From what Adamski wrote about flying saucers and describing what they did and what the occupants said… They had a superior approach to life than we have here and it was their intention to help us… There were other civilizations out in the universe with a more advanced philosophical and humane approach to living… I remember thinking that it seemed as though there was some hope for man. There was a book about by a man called George Adamski, called, “Flying Saucers Have Landed,” (First published in 1953.B.H.). Really! Was this just after you came out of the RAF. The thing that started me of on this was that I used to be interested in flying saucers! How did you become interested in ‘matters esoteric’ … When did it all start?
